2020 East-West Shrine Bowl NFL Draft

2020 East-West Shrine Bowl NFL Draft

All East-West Shrine Bowl players who were drafted by NFL
Due to COVID-19, the NFL had no choice but to make this year’s NFL Draft virtual. Now that the draft has come and gone, many of our East-West Shrine Bowl alum have made their dreams of being signed to an NFL team a reality.
“It was a very strong performance by our East-West Shrine Bowl participants to have 115 young men who came to Tampa-St. Pete in January signing with NFL teams,” said Bob Roller, executive director of the East-West Shrine Bowl. “Twenty-nine Shrine Bowl players saw their names called as NFL draft choices, and the free agency signings were fast and furious in the hours that followed last Saturday.”
We are proud to have a partnership with the NFL Operations to promote opportunities for professional growth and development for our players. Not only are the players able to be evaluated by NFL personnel, but they are also able to interact with patients at Shriners Hospitals for Children.
“As a charity event supporting Shriners Hospitals for Children throughout the world, it is amazing to see the cooperation between the NFL and our event to promote our health care systems,” said Roller. “As the oldest college football all-star game of its kind, to also see 90% of our roster signing with NFL teams shows the caliber of student-athlete that attended Shrine Bowl week. It is truly more than just a game!”
